Summary
Faculty Position: Internal Medicine Physician – Chief of Survivorship Program
Moffitt Cancer Center invites applications for the Chief of Cancer Survivorship program. The goals of the Survivorship program are to enhance the quality and lifespan of patients who have completed therapy for cancer, to manage side effects of cancer therapy, and to prevent and monitor for recurrence and new cancers. Moffitt is a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine, and the recruit will be recommended for a USF faculty appointment.
The physician leader will have oversight over 3 APPs and will work closely with oncologists, other physician specialists, and supportive services to ensure that patients receive evidence-based and compassionate care. The Survivors Overcoming and Achieving Resiliency (SOAR) program helps breast cancer survivors transition from active treatment and promotes a healthy lifestyle through yoga, meditation, stress management, nutrition, and exercise; our goal is to extend the principles of SOAR to other cancer survivors to address their specific needs.
The Chief will collaborate with Moffitt researchers (e.g., oncologists and researchers with expertise in Population Sciences and Health Outcomes) to develop and expand on research focused on cancer survivorship. Moffitt created a cutting-edge research facility, Population Engagement and Research Laboratory (PEARL), which has multiple resources that can be applied to survivorship research, including research-dedicated kitchen/dining room and exercise facilities. The candidate will have expertise in the care for complex patients, a passion for survivorship care, and experience in clinical leadership.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a Florida medical license as an M.D. or D.O. or be license eligible, and must have completed a Fellowship in Internal Medicine. Applicants must also have Board Certification in Internal Medicine or be eligible. Applicants with experience in oncology survivorship and an outpatient clinic is highly preferred.

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a rapidly growing Center affiliated with the University of South Florida.
