Position Title: Piping Foreman
Reports to: Piping General Foreman
Position Status: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
Location: Alvin, TX (Chocolate Bayou)
Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday. Weekends on a project by project basis.
Purpose: The Piping Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating all piping installation activities on industrial construction projects. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company policies. The Piping Foreman plays a critical role in maintaining quality craftsmanship, enforcing safety protocols, and optimizing crew productivity to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
Core Job Responsibilities
- · Supervise and direct pipefitters, welders, and laborers in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems.
- · Interpret and work from isometric drawings, P&IDs, and blueprints to ensure accurate pipe routing and installation.
- · Plan and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring project timelines and deadlines are met.
- · Ensure all piping work is completed in compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and client specifications.
- · Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to facilitate efficient workflow.
- · Inspect work progress, materials, and craftsmanship to maintain high-quality standards.
- · Enforce job site safety, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- · Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pipe installation, alignment, and welding.
- · Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and progress reports.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- · Minimum of 8 years in industrial piping installation, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- · Proficiency in reading and interpreting piping blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
- · Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, welding processes, and material specifications.
- · Knowledge of industrial piping codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead and manage a crew effectively.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to interact with team members, engineers, and project managers.
- Ability to provide clear direction and enforce company policies.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety practices.
- Ability to conduct safety meetings and enforce compliance with safety protocols.
- · Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pipe installation, misalignment, or material discrepancies.
- · Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
- · OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- · NCCER certification in pipefitting or supervision preferred
- · First Aid/CPR certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Stand or walk for long periods of time
· Will talk and hear to communicate.
· Use arms and hands to signal, reach for, handle or manipulate objects, materials, and tools.
· Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
· Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.

Tool Requirements: Employees are required to utilize their own tools. A detailed tool list will be provided during processing.
