What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grading Lead Operator position at H. N. Donahoo Contracting Co., Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Grading Lead Operator manages multiple construction projects, coordinates labor and equipment to construct projects, manages and supervises employees on assigned projects, tracks and reports materials, and schedules, coordinates, and communicates with customers and internal employees.
- Knowledge of grading equipment is necessary.
- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to: graders, bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, and finish dozers.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, including graders, bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, and finish dozers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experienced Heavy Equipment: Excavator, Grader operators with GPS knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
