Job description for Lonestar Tool, Die & Metalworks
Responsibilities:
- Design stamping dies and metal tools for the manufacturing processes.
- Prepare and design CAD drawings, and design schematics for metal form and precision tools.
- Monitor and ensure that dies are cut and shaped to specifications.
- Have an innate understanding of metal stamping tooling and know how to design them on a computer.
- Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Test-run the finished product to ensure it works to specifications.
- Quoting what it costs to sell the finished product including parts, labor and turnaround time for the customer.
- Interface with customer's project engineers to understand piece part function and critical areas and write the manufacturing processes of upcoming production projects.
- Works with customers to solve part print design related problems. Keeps others informed of customer requirements up front as they change
- Develop new potential customers and builds and maintains a positive working relationship with existing customers.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's Degree preferred
- Experience: At least five years of experience in Die Design with a firm background in Die Repair and Building including troubleshooting
- Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy; Familiarity with CAD Software including Solid Works, AutoCAD, Master CAM and Logopress preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Ability to use measurement tools
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine process flow to manufacture
- Provide high level of accuracy/Attention to detail
- Ability to work without supervision
- Capable of running all manual & CNC machines in tool shop
- Capable of programming CNC machines

- We pay 90% of employee health cost and 50% for dependents.
- Pay is negotiable based on knowledge and experience.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm

License/Certification:
- Journeyman License (Preferred)
