Operations Associate

Overview:

H&P is mandated on a search with a established private equity firm, specializing in the tech and software space. They are looking to hire an operations associate, with the firm having a heavy focus on growth type investments across software, SaaS and general technology investments.

The candidate will be part of a lean value creation team for the firm's portfolio companies, working on creating value and operationally improving software and growth technology companies, .

The team is currently entering a huge growth phase with their recent fund having just been raised, their largest so far. A quick brief on the firm below -

• AUM & Fund Size: Manages over $2bn in AUM
• Investment Focus: Specializes in B2B software and technology-enabled services companies.
• Deal Size: Targets equity investments of $25M–$100M per transaction.
• Geographic Reach: Primarily invests in North America, with a focus on high-growth markets.
• Strategy: Seeks majority and significant minority stakes, partnering with management teams to drive growth.
• Team Size: Lean investment team with deep operational and private equity expertise.
• Value Creation: Focuses on scaling operations, go-to-market strategies, and M&A-driven growth for portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Optimization – Drive efficiency, cost savings, and margin expansion across portfolio companies.
• Growth Strategy – Support go-to-market, pricing, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Financial & KPI Analysis – Monitor performance metrics, improve profitability, and enhance working capital.
• M&A & Integration – Assist in post-merger integration and operational due diligence.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Work with management teams, PE partners, and advisors to execute value creation plans.
• Financial Modeling – Build and refine operating models to track portfolio company performance.
• LBO & ROI Analysis – Assess leveraged buyout structures, returns, and value creation impact.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience in tech / software value creation and operational improvements at a consultancy or private equity firm.
• Bachelor's degree required.
