My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Associate to support their investment team in evaluating, executing, and managing investment opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Sourcing & Evaluation: Assist in identifying and sourcing new investment opportunities within the industrials, business services, and consumer sectors by conducting market research and supporting outreach efforts.
- Due Diligence: Lead financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and the preparation of investment memos and presentations.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build and maintain complex financial models to support deal evaluation, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and comparable company analysis (CCA).
- Deal Execution: Support the investment team in executing transactions from initial negotiation through closing, including working with legal and advisory teams to facilitate transaction structuring and documentation.
- Portfolio Management: Assist in managing and monitoring portfolio companies by providing analytical support for operational improvements, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives.
- Industry Research & Market Insights: Conduct detailed industry and market research within the firm’s target sectors to identify trends, potential investment themes, and competitive dynamics.
- Presentation & Reporting: Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, including investment committees and senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in private equity or investment banking with exposure to deal execution and financial modeling.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (LBO, DCF, comparable company analysis).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality presentations and reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Sector Knowledge: Prior experience or strong interest in the industrials, business services, or consumer sectors is preferred.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
