POSTION: Talent Acquisition Specialist
REPORTS TO: HR Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending candidates for H-P Products, Inc., as well as onboarding new hires. This person must understand, model and represent H-P Products’ Shared Values. He or she will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing and onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience.
Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are primary responsibilities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA and other regulations as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or similar.
· Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
· Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any new hire questions.
· Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
· Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
· Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Consult with leaders, hiring managers and human resources team on position descriptions, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
· Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build database/pipeline of candidates.
· Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates.
· Arrange pre-employment testing, background & references screenings.
· Place and update all job postings in various Medias including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partners.
· Represent the company at recruiting events (i.e., college job fairs), providing company/job information and interviewing applicants.
· Give presentations and increase college and high school awareness of the company as needed.
· Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote referral program and internal opportunities.
· Create offer letters, maintain applicant tracking, recruiting reports and other staffing administration functions as needed.
· Conduct new employee onboarding, ensuring process is engaging and that processes are followed and accurate.
· Respond timely to internal and external applicant situations, and applicant requests as required.
· Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
· Independently screen resumes, complete candidate interviews, recommend and select final applicants and close qualified candidates within 90 days.
· Independently conduct new employee onboarding and answer employee questions easily and accurately within 90 days.
· Complete 2-3 HR related courses by end of year 2025.
· Develop 1-2 partnerships with local organizations by end of year 2025.
