Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients’ teeth and gums to diagnose and address various oral health concerns.
- Utilize digital imaging and X-rays to assist in comprehensive examinations.
- Provide a range of dental treatments, including routine cleanings, extractions, fillings, whitening, bonding, and crowns.
- Administer local anesthesia as necessary for patient comfort.
- Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Perform screenings for oral cancer.
- Prescribe antibiotics and pain relief medications as required.
- Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized before use.
- Take impressions for the creation of customized dental devices such as mouth guards and dentures.
- Proficiency in utilizing a variety of dental instruments and equipment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients.
- Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- A collaborative team-oriented mindset.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree.
- Valid state license to practice dentistry.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated experience in a dental practice, with a focus on patient-centered care.
