Draftsman with BIM Experience (Electrical)

H. R. Allen, Inc. is growing and is adding a Draftsman with BIM 360 Experience for our Electrical Contracting company! This position will be based in our Conway office but will support our other office locations as needed. H. R. Allen, Inc. is an experienced electrical and mechanical contractor serving customers in South Carolina and other southeastern states for over 40 years.

The Draftsman is responsible primarily for 2D/3D modeling, reviewing, and producing coordination shop drawings for new commercial projects and revisions to existing commercial projects. The Draftsman responds to architectural issues as they arise, ensuring the standards and procedures are followed. While performing such other tasks as may be necessary in the day-to-day operations of our offices. Draftsman must be familiar with Autodesk products and BIM Modeling.

• Qualifications
• 2D/3D Modeling, reviewing, and producing coordination shop drawings
• Experience with Autodesk products (Revit, AUTOCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360) (Required)
• BIM Modeling Experience from coordination process to shop drawings
• Electrical industry experience preferred but not required
• Possess a can-do attitude bringing an interest to learn and grow with the company
  
  

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for 2D/3D modeling and preparation of coordination shop drawings from the completion of design phase through completion of construction documents
• Maintain architectural base files with adjustments as needed
• Provide plan clarification and plan distribution to construction, sales and staff
• Complete all other duties as assigned by manager
• Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications
• Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment
  
  

Position Requirements:

• 3D Modeling experience required
• Exceptional Revit skills, with knowledge of BIM Modeling required
• Experience with taking design models through the coordination process to working shop drawings
• Computer literacy, proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and ability to learn new programs as needed.

Experience:

• Drafting, reviewing, and producing coordination shop drawings
• Previous experience in commercial electrical construction a plus
