What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Facilities Technician position at H&R Labor?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain proper operation of cold storage doors.
- Unclogging drains
- Performing routine inspections of buildings and spaces
- Painting, patching, and installing locks and doors
- Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems
- Organize and inventory stock supplies and parts
- Remove and properly dispose of all recycled materials
- Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
- Maintain the department’s c-train clean and orderly
- Assist in collection of trash, pallets and machine parts, as needed
- Close work orders when job is complete
- Keep tools and equipment issued clean
- Use PPE and follow company’s GMP’s
- Strong communication skills with department leadership
- Self-starter with good time management skills
- Help and assist others in completing tasksPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked
changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
