Description
Assistant Production Manager plans, manages, and directs the work of production personnel, ensuring cost-effective, quality production of products according to standards. They assist the Production Manager in their roles and responsibilities and oversee daily operations while monitoring production supervisors. The Assistant Production Manager also directs subordinates in achieving compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory standards, such as FDA and OSHA, and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures. They promote positive employee relations with the union, issue disciplinary actions, and assist supervisors with write-ups. Additionally, the Assistant Production Manager maintains a safe working environment, participates in accident investigations, and promotes employee safety in all areas of operations. They also ensure the cleanliness of the work area and proper adherence to G.M.P.'s at all times. Other related duties are assigned by the Production Manager or Plant General Manager.
- Assists the Production Manager in their roles and responsibilities.
- Oversees daily operations and monitors production supervisors.
- Ensures cost effective, quality production of products.
- Directs subordinates in achieving compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, OSHA, etc.).
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, etc.).
- Ensures GMPs, SSOPs, Lock out / Tag out, and MSDS procedures are strictly followed.
- Relieves Production Manager as needed.
- Promotes positive employee relations with the union.
- Issues disciplinary actions and assists supervisors with writeups.
