Description
Responsibilities :
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
- Transport goods and products on assigned local routes, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
- Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
Maintain effective communication with dispatch, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered on the route.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
Be flexible and adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as required.
Qualifications :
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Previous experience as a commercial driver is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions :
- No overnight trips. Drivers will return home at the end of each workday.
- May require some weekend or evening shifts based on business needs.
