- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
- Transport goods and products on assigned local routes, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
- Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered on the route.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as required.Qualifications :
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Previous experience as a commercial driver is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Working Conditions :
- No overnight trips. Drivers will return home at the end of each workday.
