Superintendent

H&S United Construction is a General Contractor and Construction Manager company; we 

are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage all 

aspects of the on-site construction activities throughout the Mid-Michigan, Metro Detroit, 

and Northern Ohio areas. The Superintendent will play a crucial role in ensuring the 

successful and timely completion of construction projects while adhering to safety 

protocols and maintaining the highest quality standards. Any candidate will need to 

possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, keen attention to 

detail, and will be responsible for interfacing with the owners, architects, municipalities, 

and subcontractors from construction commencement through turnover and closeout. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent working on 

Commercial/Industrial construction projects. 

• Knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and OSHA safety 

practices. 

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead 

both self-performed and subcontracted trade work. 

• Experience in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and with 

construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam. 

• Can manage and be efficient with organizing your time to handle multiple projects 

simultaneously. 

• Experience with problem-solving and decision-making to address unforeseen 

challenges and conditions during the construction process. 

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction documents, and 

technical drawings.
