What are the responsibilities and job description for the Convenience Store Merchandiser - North Central Florida Region position at H. T. Hackney?
The H.T. Hackney Co. is a multi-state institution that has been in the retail supply chain domain for over 130 years. The majority of our current business is focused on independent and chain convenience stores. Our Gainesville location is growing, and we are in need of a Retail Merchandiser.
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
- Planogram execution
- Fixture installation
- Convenience store operations
- Tech savviness
- The use of hand tools and light power tools
Requirements for the position:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to crouch or kneel for moderately long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic math and computational skills
- Customer Service experience
- Clean MVR report
A day in the life:
Our Merchandising Team is responsible for conducting pre-scheduled resets at our stores. The region being serviced by our warehouse cuts off in Tifton, Georgia area to the north, and the DeLand/Daytona Beach area to the south. Resets mainly consist of pulling expired product, tagging for items in planogram, and occasionally making adjustments to said planogram based on customer needs. Merchandisers will also install and place fixtures, and wherever possible, offer improvements to the store owner.
