What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Office Manager position at H.W. Kaufman Group?
The Family Office Manager will be responsible for the preparation of various financial statements, investment reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations for members of the founding family of H.W. Kaufman Group.
- Family Office team supports owner and family in business and personal matters
- Responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling bank accounts and credit cards, forecasting cash, and recording transactions
- Assist with income tax, estate tax, and property tax planning and compliance
- Coordinate with outside tax and financial advisors
- Perform investment analysis and market review
- Opportunities to participate in strategic initiatives
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining supporting documentation as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, including at least 2 years’ experience in family office, and high net worth personal financial accounting preferred
- Experience reconciling financial information (cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.)
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
- Proven attention to detail, quick turnaround times, and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of personal information security (tax info, medical info, etc.)
