What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at H.W. Kaufman Group?
Responsibilities
*This position is open to multiple U.S. locations*
- Improve operations systems and processes to support the company’s vision
- Perform regular reviews of key operational metrics
- Review workflows to ensure teams are following properly and are within the company’s standards
- Manage large and small Operation projects
- Develop and maintain project plans, resource utilization schedules, and budget materials for projects and operational activities
- Closely monitor project resources, tasks, risks, issues, and milestones and make course corrections when necessary, using change control procedures
- Establish communication procedures with stakeholders and engage with all levels of organization
- Conduct project meetings and responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business (or related field) and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience preferred
- Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry required
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Must be self-motivated with the initiative to take on a variety of tasks
- Ability to apply analytical skills, creative problem solving, and conflict resolution to daily tasks
- Strategic mindset with ability to provide deliverables and build strong partnerships with key cross functional leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
