EDM Operator Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled EDM Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating EDMmachines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. The EDMOperator will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Operate Sinker EDM machines and other machinery such as wire EDM machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
- Program EDM machines for various machining tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Ability to analyze reports and calculate deviations from desired condition.
- Knowledge of machining processes
- Ability to work effectively in a machine shop environment, including material handling.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
