Mechanical Drafter/designer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter/Designer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge plasma devices, high-voltage power systems, and advanced diagnostic equipment. This role is essential in transforming mechanical concepts into detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings, assemblies, and schematics to support design and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models based on engineering specifications.
- Create detailed technical drawings with precise dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Design mechanical assemblies, ensuring proper fit, function, and manufacturability.
- Produce schematics, diagrams, and visual documentation to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with engineers in design reviews to refine and optimize mechanical solutions.
- Maintain organized digital files for all drawings and models, ensuring proper revision control.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in mechanical drafting, including SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in parametric CAD software and PDM/PLM systems.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and experience with engineering specifications.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.).
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in product development and design optimization.
- Knowledge of vacuum technology and high-voltage applications.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $90,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
