Position Overview:
- The Assistant Project Manager assists with all phases of projects, coordinates all necessary details to ensure the job is complete, and communicates between all parties involved making sure that every aspect of the project has been addressed and managed.
- Full-Time - However, part-time may be possible for an experienced applicant.
- Can progress to a Project Manager if qualified and desired.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Assists with all phases of projects from estimation to final billing and follow-up warranty. Coordinates all necessary details to ensure the job is completed and communicates between all parties involved making sure every aspect of the project has been addressed and managed.
- Prepares and tracks submittals for review and approval as required by the contractor.
- Maintain system for storage of completed job files.
- Learns and applies knowledge of product lines.
- Actively participates in meetings and any training sessions.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Works with the estimators in transitioning bids to awarded projects, review plans and scope of work.
- Works with Production coordinator to schedule deliveries of material.
- Maintains a positive working environment for the entire site team.
- Communicates professionally with site personnel to determine scheduling requirements.
- Visits jobsites as needed for deliveries, field dimensions, meetings, and coordination
- Maintains professionalism and integrity in all contacts and dealings.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous construction experience/knowledge preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer focused.
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask and make decisions.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships through teamwork, cooperation, dependability, respect and having a positive attitude.
- Ability to set own schedule using efficient time management.
- Ability to read construction documents and specification manuals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
