H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to support the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, California.
The SQL Server Database Administrator responsibilities will include:
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation related to server administration tasks.
- Enforce change management and compliance processes.
- Develop and maintain NHRC’s internal SharePoint site.
- Monitor and assist in carrying out server maintenance functions.
- Develop SharePoint custom code, workflows, and MS Power Apps.
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation related to help desk and database tasks.
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL database instances and objects.
- Provide subject matter expertise for NHRC applications, queries, and databases.
- Capture user requirements for systems/solutions development and deployment; develop functional specifications and work with cross functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Work closely with users to understand business process workflows, identify pain-points and inefficiencies and proactively propose solutions and tools, as well as conduct pilots and develop prototypes.
- Migrate legacy applications to modern standards, adhering to NHRC data standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Clearance: Minimum SECRET clearance
- Education: Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is preferred
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including storing procedures, synonyms, indexing, and performance tuning, as well as Microsoft Access database migration, and experience with .NET, C , C#, F#, Visual Basic and Python
