We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer/Manager with 8 - 15 years’ experience, who has a background with Project and Client Management. In this role, you will work alongside other engineers developing and executing water design work for both public and private clients. You will also coordinate the efforts of internal specialists teams that handle architectural, structural, coatings and electrical/control elements specifically for the water industry.

Job Responsibilities:
Drinking water projects include source of supply, treatment, storage, and distribution projects
Preparing project proposals, schedules, and budgets for capital projects
Activities include planning, design, permitting, bid services, construction services, and commissioning
Lead efforts in infrastructure planning and design for individual water projects
Coordinate with other technical divisions within the firm (and external) and subcontractors/advisors
Prepare/deliver permit applications as required from various local, State, and Federal agencies
Assist clients in private and public bidding procedures
Lead construction administration efforts
Supervise construction observation efforts
Supervise and mentor engineering staff
Participate in firm outreach to technical societies and trade organizations
Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
Be involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or closely related discipline
Experience working on a combination of public and private water projects
Progressive experience in water infrastructure project delivery
Experience pursuing designed projects through commissioning and startup
Active in technical societies and trade organizations associated with water (AWWA, NGWA, WEF, etc)
8-15 years of progressive experience in design, permitting, and construction services
Strong interpersonal and client management skills are essential
Current P.E. and/or ability to gain reciprocity as professional engineer in the State of NJ/NY
Excellent computer and written communication skills required
The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.

Note: The salary or hourly rate indicated does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
