H2M architects engineers , a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY seeks a full time or part time Asbestos Investigator . As an Asbestos Investigator, you will be responsible for assisting with sampling, testing and inspections for asbestos surveys, reviewing and understanding site plans, completing asbestos, mold, lead and indoor air quality inspection reports for insurance companies, private industries and school districts. Travel is required for this position and you may be required to use your own vehicle for work related travel including travel to and from job sites.
Job Responsibilities :
- Perform asbestos, mold and lead surveys on residential and commercial buildings.
- Providing project monitoring and air sampling, including compliance with on-site field protocols such as chain of custody forms and daily logs.
- Preparing and reviewing project related reports.
- Project management of asbestos and lead abatement projects including scheduling field staff, client management, dealing with contractors and ensuring compliance with state and city agencies, a plus.
Education and Qualifications :
The salary range for this role is $60,000 -$80,000 annually.
