What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator/ CDL Driver position at H2O Innovation?
H2O Innovation is seeking a new team member for the position of Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Gulfport, MS team. Our next colleague will hold a full time & permanent position. Your primary duty will involve operating heavy equipment to clean ditches and ensure proper drainage flow.

The Day-to-Day
Perform ditch cleaning to maintain optimal hydraulic and drainage flow;
Operate a variety of equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, and graders;
Ensure all daily operations adhere to safety protocols and are executed efficiently;
Request utility line locates and comply with line locate policies;
Prepare and submit written reports as required.
The Skills We Are Looking For
Valid driver's license and high school diploma / GED;
Minimum of 6 months of experience operating excavators, backhoes, dozers, and graders;
Experience with pipe-laying in the construction field is advantageous;
Proficiency in blueprint reading and establishing grade preferred;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to effectively communicate with the public, team members, and supervisors;
Capable of performing physical tasks in diverse weather conditions.
The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
