Summary
Prepare and operate Trumpf laser cutting machine(s) to support production team(s) in accordance with company specifications.
· Set-up, adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs.
· Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
· Use measuring tools to complete tasks (micrometers, height gages and bore gages)
· Ensure material is loaded into the laser and the machine control is set-up to run to schedule
· Deburring parts with file or grinder as needed
· Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in laser cutting and programming
- Familiarity with GD&T and precision measuring instruments, including bore gauges and micrometers
- Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints
- Experience with hand tools, fabrication, and quality inspection
- Knowledge of machining processes, including CNC and press brake operation
