What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Help Desk Technician position at H3C LLC?
This unique position is two-fold and will require someone who is motivated, adaptive, and has the ability to "go with the flow". A large part of this position will be working our Help Desk. For this component of the job, you must have experience in the IT world, show a solid understanding of the troubleshooting process, and possess strong communication and customer service skills.
The second component of this position will be assisting our field service techs in the field, when needed. This will require someone with a willingness to learn and to perform light/medium physical labor.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
- Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
- Follow-up and update customer status and information
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Proficiency in English
- Secondary languages a bonus
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or higher
- Experience 3-5 years in the IT world
- Outlook, Microsoft 365, Excel, Remote Desktop, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $24.00 per hour
