As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55, is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable.
The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing propulsion and energy storage solutions which are modular, lightweight, and certifiable.
Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market.
Your Role
As part of the Manufacturing team, you will be part of the Product Development Department. The perimeter of the Manufacturing team covers the link between product design and production related to the H55 Electric Propulsion System performed at H55 HQ in Sion. You will report to the Manufacturing team leader.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Integrate new equipment
- Follow and improve the existing equipment
- Optimization of actual process
- Create jigs and tools
- Participate to the scale-up and growth of manufacturing activities
Your Profile and experience
- Engineer degree in automation, mechanic, electronic or similar experience
- 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Working in commissioning is a plus
- Rigorous to apply and follow internal procedures with an open mindset to adapt to change
- Experience in wirebonding is a big plus
- Capacity to prioritize and multi-task
- Desire to work in a competitive area at the forefront of electrical aviation
- Fluent in English, French or German is a plus.
