The Role…
We are looking for an attentive and hard-working person to fill the Busser position as part of our team. As a Busser, you will be tasked with preparing, cleaning, and resetting tables as guests flow in and out of the restaurant during service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable dining area as well as attending to guests’ needs and assisting servers with basic duties. This role requires an increased awareness of the dining area and the guests within it, as well as an ability to quickly adapt to the changing needs of the restaurant.
Job Duties:
- Preparation of tables for dining service (e.g. providing utensils, napkins, glassware and water) before guests are seated.
- Maintaining cleanliness and reducing table clutter by bussing tables as guests complete their courses.
- Promptly clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables after guests have finished and left.
- Attending to and communicating guest requests to servers and/or kitchen staff
- Maintaining organized bussing areas and ensuring timely transportation of dishes to and from the dishwashing area
- Assisting servers with basic guest needs (e.g. refilling water, obtaining replacement dishes/napkins, retrieving menus)
- Assisting hosts and servers with special requests
- Stocking bussing areas to keep up with table volume throughout service.
- Prompt response to spills, fallen dishes/glass, and other special circumstances impacting service.
- Assisting with front of house closing duties
- Adhering to restaurant policies and procedures regarding guest service, food safety, and restaurant maintenance

Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to move, pull, carry, and lift up to 20 lbs.
· Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
