The Role…
We are looking for a personable and organizationally minded person to fill the Host position as part of our team. As a Host, you will act as the first point of service to guests entering the building, as well as contacting the restaurant over the phone. You will be responsible for determining table arrangement and assignment, as well as attending to guests entering the building and waiting for service. This role requires an exceptional ability to multitask; you must be able to efficiently direct dining service, operate takeout service, and personally greet customers.
Job Duties:
- Greeting and attending to guests as they enter the restaurant.
- Seating guests at available tables and keeping track of possible wait times determined by order volume.
- Answering general service questions over the phone.
- Proper assignment and arrangement of tables depending on server availability.
- Efficiently communicating table assignments and relaying information between guests, servers, bussers, and kitchen staff.
- Handling takeout service (e.g. accepting orders online/over the phone, handling payment, communicating requests to the kitchen, completing checkout reports).
- Timely preparation of tables for possible reservations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Assisting with front of house closing duties.
- Adhering to restaurant policies and procedures regarding guest service, food safety, and restaurant maintenance.

- Must be able to take direction from management in order to properly adapt to the role.
- Prior experience in restaurant service preferred.
Salary and Benefits:

- Average Take Home Pay: $17-$19/hr
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move, pull, carry, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
