Haag Global, a Salas O’Brien Company and a leader in forensic engineering and consulting since 1924, is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, and leading a team of accounting professionals. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. Other duties may be assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFR
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal control
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirement
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Managing the budget process and reporting for the division’s leadership.
- Work with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and financial reviews.
- Closely work with Services to ensure all requests and postings are met.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancement.
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrable leadership and staff development skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite of products (intermediate to advanced Excel).
- Proficiency in arithmetic, verbal and written communication.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting
- 3 years in managerial role, is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, technology, analytical, and management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SalesForce, NetSuite, Oracle, or Deltek) is required.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in Professional Services experience, is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000/yr. In addition, there is 5-7% annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
