Industrial Maintenance Technician
About the Position:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians will provide maintenance and performance support for large production machinery. Tasks will include basic preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and reporting. You will need to determine the severity of damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary while maintaining a safe work environment. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will oversee all physical aspects of production equipment and include various tasks required from other departments to achieve higher quality, productivity, and better safety.

- Ensure proper use of required PPE at all times
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications
- Diagnose defective equipment and hardware
- Ability to operate a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and other aids like overhead cranes
- Work in a wide variety of environments, spaces, and heights
- Ability to bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components together.
- Cut, drill, sand, plane and/or tape materials
- Grind, scrape, sand, and/or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Replenish and return materials as needed per request, visual indicators, or if found defective.
- Support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.
- Document maintenance incidents as per department standard.
- Ability to Disassemble machinery/equipment when maintenance is needed or repair required
- Ability to work independently with little to no instructions.
- Two-year associate Industrial Maintenance Degree preferred
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)
- Master Certified Electronics Technician (CET)
- EPA HVAC Certification
- Electrical Technician Certification (EETC)
- Combination of experience, apprenticeship and/or technical degree in relevant field such as electrical fitter/welder, plumbing/pipefitting, HVAC maintenance, industrial maintenance fields.
- Manual dexterity by using their hands or tools in a skillful and coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects with small, precise movements.
- Must be able to read and decipher written instructions.
- Work in a wide variety of environments, small cramped space, ladders, scissor lifts, use of fall protection, and a variety of heights
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color distinction, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
- Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, will frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Safely operate large equipment, fabrication tools, and an overhead crane and rigging.
- Sit for periods of time and stand or move about the facility.
