Shop Technician

Haas Sons, Inc. is seeking a full time Shop Technician to work out of our Thorp, WI Shop.

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (SUMMARY): Primary duties consist of maintaining, diagnosing and repairing of vehicles, equipment and tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs preventative maintenance/inspections on machines, vehicles, and equipment

2. Diagnoses, repairs and rebuilds vehicles, machines and equipment.

3. Maintains regular attendance and works mandatory over-time.

4. Fabricates items as needed.

5. Operates various tools, machines, equipment as needed.

6. Properly disposes of hazardous materials and recyclables.

7. Performs field service as needed.

8. Complies with OSHA safety and health regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instruction.
• Able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Working knowledge of mechanical functions, internal combustion and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics.
• Able to use power and hand tools.
• Skill in acetylene and electric arc welding.
• Able to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, grasp, grip, lift, pull, push and reach continuously. Includes ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Able to work safely and to follow company and government regulations.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
• Able to communicate effectively with others.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Able to work over time as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
