Position Summary

Habco Industries is a key provider of tools, ground and test support equipment that serves the Aerospace Industry, both fixed and rotary winged aircraft. Our customers range from the largest aerospace OEMs in the world, to end users of the aircraft…both commercial and military applications. Habco is a Lean-focused organization with a 55-year history of quality & customer focus in the industry.

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the development and execution of HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, organizational design, succession planning, employee relations, legal compliance, training & development, change management, performance management, benefits and compensation.

Primary Expectations / Responsibilities

Establish and implement HR programs that effectively communicate and support the organization’s strategic vision and support the achievement of both short and long term business objectives.

Function as a strategic business advisor to members of executive management as it relates to organizational structure, position development, competency assessment and corporate goal setting.

Develop and implement recruiting & staffing strategies to identify talent within and outside the organization in support of long term organizational plans.

Develop HR planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and ensure the execution of specific programs to fill those gaps from a succession planning standpoint.

Responsible for the development, consistent enforcement and ongoing administration of internal policies and procedures.

Partner with all functional areas managers to ensure adequate staffing levels in addition to assisting with the development and execution of individual employee development plans.

Responsible for developing and managing comprehensive compensation programs that are both competitive and cost effective to include wage and salary administration and annual bonus programs.

Ensure the timely & effective execution of items related to the annual review & merit increase process.

Work with key members of management to develop and maintain formal job descriptions for all positions within the organization.

Responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of key business related communications to all internal staff in an effort to keep employees informed and engaged in the company’s progress.

Establish credibility throughout the company in order to be an effective listener and problem solver as it relates to employee issues; ensure the appropriate handling of all performance management and disciplinary discussions / activities.

Acts as advisor to ensure company compliance with all federal, state and local laws related to employment, benefits and compensation.

Provides leadership and coaching to all levels of management in order to create and maintain a positive work environment with high morale and productivity.

Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 15 years of demonstrated experience in a fast paced HR environment that includes at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment and prior people management experience.

Demonstrated understanding of the key HR competency areas; Recruiting & Staffing, Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits and Employment Law.

High degree of professionalism to include strong diplomacy, tact and the ability to ensure the security off highly confidential information.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal and external clients.

Ability to communicate with senior level Executives both inside and outside the organization.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage various people/projects to ensure timelines are consistently met and that work is prioritized accordingly.

Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills with proven experience conducting presentations to a wide variety of audiences.

Strong leadership capability with demonstrated success mentoring, coaching and developing others.

Demonstrated ability to be proactive and anticipate next steps, in addition to strong problem solving skills and resolution capability.

Executive presence, emotional stability and the ability to command respect in addition to flexibility to adapt to changing and challenging situations.

Persistence and willingness to take calculated risks and the ability to stimulate ideas.

Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft 365) as well as knowledge of payroll systems.

Schedule:
