What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Driver position at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls?
Have you always wanted a job where you are making a difference in your community?! We are now looking for a ReStore Warehouse Driver with no CDL required!
This position is primarily responsible for the pick-up of merchandise from donors, safely packing the merchandise in a box truck while utilizing a lift gate and returning to the ReStore. This position will also be responsible for assisting in other ReStore related duties including deliveries and warehousing. Typical workweek will be Tuesday-Saturday with flexible hours.
Job Duties
- Load and unload all donated materials
- Screen for product usability
- Maintain good communication with ReStore Manager regarding incoming donations
- Operating Habitat vehicles to pick-up and deliver goods
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and customers.
- Become forklift certified by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls standards as this position will be required to operate a forklift frequently.
- Answer telephone and meeting caller needs, including donor scheduling
- Daily straightening of the warehouse area, particularly the ReStore truck and dock areas
- Other Duties as Assigned
Job Requirements
- Must have a drivers license and have and maintain a clean driving record
- Previous customer service and warehousing experience is a plus
- Must be able to work well both as a team and independently
- Must be willing to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and 100lbs occasionally
- Ability to spend majority of the day standing or moving. Work may require climbing ladders, considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching in awkward and tiring positions
- Ability to operate office equipment, and computer software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
