Warehouse Associate

We are currently hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. This position involves receiving and processing donations, performing pick-ups as needed, and ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and orderly.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Safely directs product movement in the warehouse to maintain a neat and orderly operation.
  • Ensures even distribution of product between ReStore locations.
  • Cleans and tests products to ensure a timely and smooth product flow to the retail floor.
  • Completes daily equipment inspections.
  • Completes data entry of acquisitions/inventory received and sent.
  • Stocks, picks up, and delivers supplies to support Habitat Kent projects.
  • Ensures that received donations meet the standards set by Habitat Kent and that donation receipts are accurately completed.
  • Oversees volunteers to ensure warehouse tasks are completed on time and safely, while ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to direct volunteers.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, including Microsoft Office and internet use.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and vehicles.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Consistent attendance is required.

Additionally, the position requires specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
