Summary :
Responsible for the project management of Habitat’s home repair programs in a way that provides quality repairs for low-income families in a safe and affordable manner while working to build community.
Home Repair
- Essential Functions
o Act as the Project manager for Home Repair projects.
o Assures that all work is in accordance with approved drawings, current codes, budget and within the boundaries of the contract and scope of work.
o Make sure compliance is met with all grants including reporting, timelines, scopes, budget and inspections.
o Hire and manage subcontract labor.
o Communicate progress to all essential stakeholders.
o Prepare scope of work and timeline for repair completion.
o Communicate as needed with homeowner on scope and timeline.
o Develop and adhere to construction plans, standards and schedules.
o Communicate schedule adjustment to all stakeholders.
o Establish budgets for each project, track and ensure cost and qualities meet HFHML guidelines.
o Ensure safety on the projects.
o Develop take-offs, manage bids and place orders as needed.
o Solicit in kind donations of materials and labor whenever possible.
o Manage subcontractors to ensure budget, scope of work and timeline are met.
o Work with the Community Development and Repair Manager as needed to plan events like Love Your Neighborhood and DIY classes.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
o Construction experience and working knowledge of “building science” and current construction techniques.
o Project Management experience.
o Valid driver’s license

Available shifts and compensation : Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $21.50 - $24.00 / hour.
