At the Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County ReStore, you have a job with purpose and a work culture centered on service to others. We are seeking a full-time Store Associate for our Prices Corner ReStore location. The ReStore is a nonprofit thrift and home improvement store that sells new and gently used donated furniture, home goods, tools & hardware, appliances and more to support our affordable housing mission in New Castle County. Work Schedule - Tuesday - Saturday, 9a - 5:15p.
Reports to: ReStore Store Manager
General Duties
*Work in store to move items to sales floor, assist customers, and other duties as needed.
*Accept or decline donated merchandise based on established guidelines.
*Load and unload large items such as furniture, appliances, boxes, pallets, and other goods.
*Assist at cash register as needed.
*Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore donors, volunteers, and customers
*Any other duties as directed by Manager
Required Skills / Experience
· Friendly, positive attitude and effective at communicating and working within a team.
· Knowledge and experience of thrift stores/retail sales/warehouse a plus.
· Ability to lift 75 pounds.
· Ability to spend majority of the day standing, bending, climbing, kneeling and reaching.
· Must pass criminal background check
· Bilingual a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
