Description
Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance and Business Analyst to join our finance team. The analyst will play a crucial role in the analysis, interpretation, and forecasting of financial data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions and contributing to the achievement of strategic goals. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing solutions to those in need. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
Requirements
Financial Analysis:
- Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate a variety of financial and operational metrics.
- Assistance in maintaining rolling 5-year forecasts, ensuring alignment with our strategic plan.
- Develop financial models, what-if scenarios, and other analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in developing annual operating budgets; work closely with Accounting team to review budget-to-actual performance throughout the year, incorporating operating results and changes into ongoing forecasts.
- Identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities to drive revenue and streamline costs.
Business Analysis:
- Analyze operational processes and provide insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Gather and interpret data to support strategic initiatives and business development.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategies.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Create ad-hoc financial reporting, as requested by various team members.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations.
- Assist in audits, both internal and external, by preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity in financial systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial or business analysis roles.
- Proven experience working in a collaborate team environment.
- Experience working in NetSuite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
