What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community & Homeownership Services Manager position at Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, CA?
This position is responsible for managing and providing overall guidance of all Community and Homeownership Services initiatives. These programs and services include family outreach and cultivation efforts, homebuyer orientation and education, family selection process and program family sweat equity requirements. This leader will work with Finance and Legal Services to achieve the timely and efficient home purchase escrow process. The Manager will develop, implement and measure effectiveness of Habitat OC’s continuum of offerings for Habitat homeowners. Additionally, this position supports Home Preservation department with community outreach and initial screening of potential home repair applicants.
Skills & Knowledge
- 3-5 years’ experience in real estate, mortgage and/or legal fields
- Excellent interpersonal and cultural competency skills, bilingual ability a plus
- Strong public speaking and community outreach skills
- Excellent project management, detailed organizational skills, and able to work in a team environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of banking/lending regulations and escrow process. With the ability to provide organizational guidance, resolve issues and train staff in the subject
- Ability to lead and grow a major function of an organization
