Typical Hours of work : 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM; Monday – Friday

  • Evenings and weekends as needed for education and events.

Job Summary / Objective

The Homeowner Recruitment Manager is responsible for recruiting applicants to the homeownership program, and community outreach throughout the affiliate’s service area. This position requires directly engaging businesses, schools, community groups, and churches for homeowner recruitment.

RECRUITMENT

  • Conduct face-to-face visits with group prospects, initiating and assisting in seeking out presentation and booth opportunities for recruitment in partnership with the Development Team.
  • By the direction of the Executive Director, meet with local businesses and groups to encourage support of new home construction and Habitat programs in the area.
  • Engage with and recruit from the local community to provide qualified homeowner applicants.
  • Ensure that every homeownership inquiry is properly managed, documented, scheduled, and stewarded.
  • Engage in public speaking events and attend various Habitat for Humanity functions and events to recruit qualified applicants.
  • Assist applicants, interested community members, and homeowner candidates with navigating the website, the application process
  • Ensure seamless adherence to updated Homeowner Services policy, procedures, and processes.
  • Conduct a limited number of pre-application appointments as directed by Executive Director
  • OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Public speaking, community outreach, and attending various Habitat for Humanity functions / events are required.
  • Provide timely telephone and email communications to volunteers and homeowner candidates assuring high-quality customer service.
  • Be an Ambassador for Habitat’s mission by supporting our efforts to maintain extraordinary relationships with all donors / homeowners / volunteers.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested.

    Education, Experience, and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofits, sales, and / or group management.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.
  • Computer and social media proficiency.
  • Requires knowledge of PC (vs. Mac). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new systems / databases. Knowledge of NewOrg preferred.
  • Build constructive and effective relationships.
