Habitat for Humanity of Pitt County is seeking a full or part time Building Services Manager - Facilities/Operations/Construction. Qualified candidates must be able to work well with others, have a clean driving record, and have experience in construction and facilities/operations management All work is within Pitt County. THIS POSITION MAY BE PART TIME OR FULL TIME.
Key operational requirements for a Building Services Manager - Facilities/Operations/Construction role: maintenance and operations management, including risk management, scheduling repairs and maintenance, effective communication, and a strong understanding of overall facilities management operations. Construction experience and ability to work with and use all type of tools is preferred.

Maintenance and Operations:
Managing routine and preventative maintenance schedules for building systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements, including identifying and addressing issues promptly.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring the facility adheres to all safety and building codes, including inspections and necessary documentation to maintain compliance.
Risk Management:
Proactively identifying potential hazards within the facility, implementing preventative measures, and developing emergency response plans.
Scheduling Repairs and Maintenance:
Coordinating with vendors and internal staff to schedule repairs, replacements, and planned maintenance activities.
Communication:
Clearly communicating facility updates, maintenance schedules, and emergency procedures to occupants and relevant stakeholders.
Knowledge of Facilities Management Operations:
Comprehensive understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, best practices, and industry standards.

Technical Expertise: Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural maintenance.

Building Services Manager - Facilities/Operations/Construction may work on either residential or commercial projects in process, selecting vendors and managing projects to completion. Some hands on work is required, requiring general construction skills.
Additional Qualifications & Proficiencies:
- Sufficient knowledge of residential and commercial construction
- Ability to apply construction knowledge to scheduling, coordinating and participating in general construction work activities
- Ability to lead, manage, supervise, and motivate individuals and teams

- Physical Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job:
This position requires constant standing and walking and the ability to lift and position up to 50 pounds as well as frequent bending, squatting, and repetitive motion. This position will occasionally be exposed to extremes in weather (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, ice, etc.)
Work Environment and Conditions:
