- Ensure all items are researched, accurately ticketed and safely moved to the sales floor in a timely manner
- Collaborate with store leadership regarding the priority, timing, and placement of incoming donations/merchandise
- Responsible for working with all donation drivers regarding the loading and offloading placement of donations
- Guarantee safe and prompt handling of merchandise and donations according to processes, policies, and procedures
- Assist in the receiving of items that are dropped off when assistance is needed on the receiving dock
- Provide supervision and a safe and clean environment for employees, volunteers and customers
- Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring the engagement and motivation of others
- Assist in ensuring that each customer receives outstanding customer service
- Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with employees, customers, donors, volunteers and the public
- Document and conduct Corrective Action as needed
- Key-Carrying Supervisor responsible for independently opening and closing the store, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to read, count, and accurately complete reports and all end-of-day documentation
- Operate a cash register periodically, as needed
- Ensure a meaningful volunteer experience
- Represent Habitat in a positive manner to all donors, customers and others you come in contact with
- Regular and reliable job attendance and adherence to schedule
- Dependable transportation to work
- Maintain a presentable appearance, including ReStore appropriate attire
- Ability to adhere to Habitats Code of Conduct policies and other policies
- Habitat of the Charlotte Region-related tasks as requested by supervisor
Education/Skills:
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math or POS experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Management and Customer Service experience
- Show initiative
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to move merchandise throughout the store
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs. without assistance, 70 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and periodic holidays
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift on a regular basis
- Ability to climb steps to Forklift cab
