MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform cash register duties, including assisting in closing out drawer for day.
· Provide courteous and efficient customer service on sales floor.
· Answer phones and handle customer questions.
· Assist Manager with scheduling donation pickups and mapping out routes when directed.
· Assist with merchandise displays on sales floor.
· Maintain clean work areas and sales floor in coordination with other staff.
· Help maintain efficient use of space on sales floor as directed by Manager.
· Work effectively with all staff, volunteers, customers and donors.
· Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
· Support other Habitat staff as needed and directed by immediate supervisor.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Self-motivated, reliable individual with enthusiasm for Habitat for Humanity's Mission.
· Enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds.
· Ability to handle and diffuse challenging situations with tact and diplomacy, as well as maintain confidentiality when the situation dictates.

· Prior retail experience required.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· 5 years’ work experience as cashier preferred.
SCHEDULE
This position will average 40 hours per week. The general schedule is Tuesday - Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Store operations may dictate adjustments to this basic schedule and hours.
