Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Interview, hire, and train new store employees
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to team members
- Ensure excellent customer service by leading by example and resolving customer inquiries or complaints
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to drive sales growth
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in cash register operations
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement visual merchandising strategies
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proven experience in store management or retail management
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Proficient in shift management and scheduling
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on trends
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
