Furniture Driver and Mover

What we need from you:

• A Monday – Friday commitment to be available to work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Operate a box truck
• Load and unload trucks of donated good
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the ReStore
• Inspect and clean merchandise
• We provide courtesy pick-ups on ground floor access or service elevators only. No stairs.

How we compensate you:

• $20.00 hourly start rate. (Average 38 hours a week.)
• Full time with benefits including health, dental, life insurance and optional vision.
• Paid time off and holiday pay after the 90-day introductory period

Requirements:

• Habitat for Humanity Sarasota is a drug-free workplace and equal-opportunity employer. All applicants are required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs., squat and bend and adhere to Habitat’s lifting, loading and safety requirements.
• Willing and able to be a good ambassador of Habitat Sarasota when picking up donated furniture and other merchandise.
• Ability to follow a GPS route manifest for the daily route.
• Only applicants with excellent driving records and a valid driver’s license need apply. A CDL license is not a requirement. Applicant must maintain a safe driving record with no suspensions within five years.
• No CDL required
• Ability to work the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday –Friday (occasional Saturday overtime).
