Job Overview:
The ReStore Driver and Receiving Specialist is responsible for scheduling and picking up donations from individual and corporate donors, assessing the donation's suitability, safely loading merchandise in the ReStore truck, driving it back to the ReStore and unloading it. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the receiving area and drive through is clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
Regular Responsibilities:
Driver (15 hours/week)
- Ensure a steady flow of product is being donated to the Restore
- Respond to donation pickup requests within 24 hours
- Schedule donation pickups using Square Appointments
- Work with volunteers and make their experience meaningful
- Evaluate and screen donations for ReStore suitability
- Communicate donation acceptance guidelines to donors and volunteers and tactfully decline donations when necessary
- Provide a donation receipt and thank you card at the time of donation pick-up
- Safely and lawfully drive 16’ box truck
- Load and unload all donated materials
- Deliver recycling to the scrapyard
- Clean and organize ReStore vehicle
- Stock ReStore vehicle with safety supplies and moving equipment
- Perform regular maintenance checks of ReStore vehicle
Receiving Area (25 Hours/week)
- Ensure timely and organized flow of donations from donor to sales floor
- Communicate donation acceptance guidelines to donors and volunteers
- Evaluate and screen donations for ReStore suitability
- Tactfully decline donations when necessary
- Provide a donation receipt at the time of donation drop-off
- Track daily donations
- Ensure donations are properly cleaned, priced, and tested before reaching sales floor
- Guide volunteers and help make their experience meaningful
- Communicate often with Assistant Manager regarding incoming donations and workflow
- Maintain, organize, and clean donation receiving area daily
- Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore donors, staff, volunteers, and customers; treat all persons with dignity and respect

Physical Requirements:
- With reasonable accommodation, able to lift 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
- Will experience frequent lifting, bending, squatting, and repetitive motion
- Ability to spend majority of the day standing and moving heavy items
- This position will occasionally be exposed to extremes in weather (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc.).
- Work may require some power tools on occasion
Position Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass MN-DOT Physical Certification
- Must possess strong communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
