What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Habitat Veterinary Hospital?
Are you looking for a veterinary job that offers work-life balance, strong support, and professional growth? A team where you truly belong? Or maybe the mountains are calling? Whether you’re seeking a fresh start or your next adventure, this is your sign to take the leap.
At Habitat Veterinary Hospital, we believe in kindness, balance, and exceptional patient care. Seventeen years ago, we reimagined what a veterinary career could be—where professionals don’t sacrifice well-being to do what they love. We built a culture of trust, open communication, and top-tier medicine. Today, we’re looking for a like-minded associate veterinarian to join us!
What We Offer :
- A practice that belongs to its people. We are a privately owned hospital, and we plan to keep it that way—by transitioning to an employee-owned model. That means long-term investment, stability, and shared success for the people who make our hospital great : our team.
- Support you can count on. Experienced CVTs, skilled assistants, and dedicated support staff work alongside you, so you can focus on what you do best. And because we are all in this together, our Boise colleagues are always ready to help.
- A team that’s got your back. We trust each other, adjust when needed, and make smart decisions that protect our team and our standards—because great medicine depends on great teamwork. This isn’t just a clinic; it’s a place where people take care of each other, and that’s what makes us different.
- The right tools, for the right reasons. Our recent renovation reflects our commitment to quality equipment and a modern, efficient space. We make thoughtful choices based on our team’s needs—listening, setting goals, and growing together .
Comprehensive Benefits Built for You :
Up to $800 / day ($166,400 annually) based on experience, schedule, and goals.
Work Smart, Play Better :
Our four-day workweek means time to enjoy Sun Valley—no weekends, no on-call. We prioritize people over metrics, closing both locations every August for a staff retreat in the mountains. The valley also has a growing need for emergency care, and if you’re passionate about ER, we’d love to support you in exploring solutions.
