Salary: $45,000-$55,000 | $24.73 - $30.22 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
The Recertification Specialist is responsible for processing annual/interim recertifications and to provide administrative support to the Housing Specialist as needed. They must have the ability to work independently, provide excellent resident support and adhere to all program requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Schedule and conduct all annual/interim recertifications.
- Assist with move in and move out certifications as needed.
- Request third party verifications and review all resident provided documentation.
- Calculate income, assets and expenses in accordance with program requirements.
- Schedule meetings with residents as needed for the recertification process.
- Review resident files to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Organize and maintain resident files.
- Provide administrative support to Operations Team as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Affordable housing experience preferred.
- Mathematic skills sufficient to perform required calculations.
- Excellent customer service through professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle high volume of phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Must be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Sophisticated knowledge of and proficiency in basic office software including internet systems, VoIP phones, Microsoft 365 platform and security cameras.
- Ability to use discretion and make independent decisions based on knowledge of the applicable program requirements of HUD, CHFA and Agency policies and procedures.
- Remains current on Agency policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local codes, rules, and regulations as they pertain to job responsibilities.
- Must be able to use personal vehicle to travel between properties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required throughout employment.
- May require certification in Public Housing Programs within six months to one year of employment.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred.
