Position Overview
The Director of Sales, Petroleum is a highly strategic position which will be responsible for creating the vision and strategy to grow revenue and profitability in partnership with the XOS management team. The director must accurately forecast business and market needs, formulate and implement the sales strategy, achieve sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Service, with direct management of the global sales and business development team ensuring alignment of sales efforts across global markets.
Responsibilities
- Work with the commercial team and XOS management to develop and implement strategic global sales plans based on data that support growth objectives and team development.
- Analyze current customers and segments to prioritize which customers have the greatest potential for deeper penetration and increased flow of orders.
- Provide strategic support to the product management team to develop business plans for the penetration of attractive new markets (geographic and segments) and new product development and set priorities for maximum return on investment.
- Establish a plan to attack strategic adjacent and core markets through targeted campaigns and pursuit plans.
- Develop, maintain and report monthly sales to determine performance levels and areas for improvement with clear metric tracking.
- Evaluate the sales team, ensuring each person has respective tactical sales plan and the capability to execute through accountability, engaging cross functional support and stretching their commercial skillsets to close sales opportunities.
- Hire, develop and motivate sales personnel to achieve a high performance and cross functional collaboration.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales methods, costs, and results. Establish standard work and best practices to enhance sales operations, pursuit tracking and management of SFDC tools.
- Identify margin improvement opportunities and implement plans to achieve. Seek price increases where feasible.
- Evaluate and drive existing and new global channel partner network and key customer accounts that align to strategic initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
