Position Summary: Reporting to the EU & NA Direct Sourcing Director, the Global Category Lead - Mechanicals will lead the execution of the global sourcing strategy, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost optimization across mechanicals categories. This role will have a direct impact on Hach’s mission to ensure water quality globally and will lead a high-performing team to support business objectives.
This position is part of the Global Sourcing Team located in Loveland, Colorado or Berlin, Germany and will be hybrid.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Leading the global sourcing strategy for mechanicals categories, including strategic supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
- Overseeing budget forecasting and material P&L responsibilities.
- Developing KPIs for commodity managers to drive team success.
- Collaborating with product development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies.
- Cultivating long-term supplier relationships and ensuring supply chain reliability.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 10 years of supply chain experience, with a focus on procurement and category management.
- Strong leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams of sourcing professionals.
- Expertise in mechanical components and processes.
- Proven ability to drive cost-saving initiatives and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field (preferred).
- Up to 35% travel to Europe and North America may be required.

This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
